Why choose the MONOR UV Laser 15 W?

Precise, fine marking of sensitive materials

UV source 355 nm

The short wavelength enables fine, precise marking where a fiber laser (1064 nm) is not suitable.

Fine, detailed marking

Sharp micro-details, legible micro-text and precise edges even on very small elements.

High contrast

Bold, high-contrast marking even on transparent or light-colored materials such as glass.

Minimal thermal impact

Suitable for sensitive materials where it's important not to damage or deform the surface.

Suitable for plastics where fiber falls short

Marks selected plastics and sensitive surfaces where a fiber laser doesn't achieve the desired result.

No consumables

Permanent laser marking - no ink, foil or other consumables.

How it works

How does a UV laser differ from a Fiber or CO² laser?

The MONOR UV Laser 15 W operates at a wavelength of 355 nm - significantly shorter than a fiber laser (1064 nm) or a CO² laser (10,600 nm). This shorter wavelength means the energy is transferred to the material photochemically rather than thermally, which is why this process is known as "cold marking". In practice, this results in a gentler effect on the material's surface compared to longer wavelengths.

  • suitable for fine marking of sensitive materials where precision and minimal surface impact matter,
  • high contrast even on transparent and light-colored materials such as glass or clear plastics,
  • marks selected plastics and surfaces that a fiber laser cannot handle or would damage,
  • does not produce burnt edges or the coarse thermal deformation typical of longer wavelengths.
Who it's for

Who is the MONOR UV Laser 15 W for

The UV Laser 15 W is designed mainly for applications requiring fine, precise marking of sensitive materials without damaging the surface - in the production of promotional items, in electronics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

  • manufacturers and distributors of promotional and corporate items (pens, USB drives, watches, smooth-surfaced items),
  • personalization and engraving of glass - glasses, bottles, trophies, gift items,
  • marking of plastic packaging and pharmaceutical products - dates, QR codes, serial numbers,
  • marking of electronic components - PCBs, microchips, sensors,
  • marking of medical devices and surgical instruments.

Choosing power

How to choose the right UV laser power?

This comparison covers power levels (5/10/15 W) across the entire MONOR UV range. We're happy to give you a precise recommendation for your material and application individually.

5 W

  • Basic fine, precise marking of sensitive materials
  • Suitable where speed and demanding plastics are not a priority
  • Glass, ceramics, PCBs, anodized aluminum

10 W

  • A more balanced ratio of speed and precision
  • Handles more demanding plastics that the 5 W version cannot
  • Suitable for both standard and series production
Current model

15 W

  • Significantly higher marking speed in series production
  • Stronger, more contrasty results on plastics and anodized aluminum
  • Better results on more demanding or darker polymers

More features

Practical solutions for fine marking

01

UV laser source and galvo scanning head (355 nm)

The short 355 nm wavelength ensures fine, precise, high-contrast marking of sensitive materials. The galvo scanning head guides the beam across the surface, enabling fast, precise positioning.

02

Water cooling

The industrial water chiller keeps the laser source at a stable operating temperature.

03

Precise fine marking

Positioning accuracy of 0.001 mm and a minimum line width of 0.01 mm for sharp micro-details.

04

Permanent marking with no consumables

Laser marking without ink, foil or any other consumables.

05

Optional rotary attachment

Available as an optional accessory for marking cylindrical and round objects.

You're not buying a machine without support

2-year warranty

We provide a standard 2-year warranty on the machine and help resolve technical questions even after handover.

Technical support

We'll help with software setup, parameter selection and resolving any questions during operation.

Step-by-step video guides

Instructional videos guide the operator from unboxing and installation through to operation, maintenance and the first jobs.

Online or in-person training

As needed, we arrange individual training online, at our premises during personal pickup, or directly on site.

How it works

Fine micro-marking or high-contrast area marking?

The MONOR UV Laser 15 W can work with a fine point beam as well as create larger contrasting areas - in both cases this is surface-level, so-called "cold" processing, not deep thermal engraving.

Fine micro-marking

Precise text, QR codes, serial numbers and small details with a positioning accuracy of 0.001 mm.

High-contrast area marking

Logos and larger areas with strong contrast, especially on transparent or light-colored materials such as glass.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask us before buying

What's the difference between a UV laser and a Fiber or CO² laser?

A UV laser operates at a significantly shorter wavelength (355 nm compared to 1064 nm for a fiber laser or 10,600 nm for a CO² laser). This makes it suitable for fine, "cold" marking of sensitive materials with minimal thermal impact on the surface, while fiber and CO² lasers are better suited to metals, or to non-metal materials that require deeper engraving.

What materials can the UV laser 15 W mark?

Primarily plastics (e.g. ABS, PC, PP, PET, PA), glass including frosted glass, ceramics, silicone, PCBs and anodized aluminum. We recommend verifying the specific material type in advance based on your application.

Can the UV laser 15 W also mark metals, such as stainless steel?

The UV laser 15 W is intended primarily for plastics, glass, ceramics, silicone and anodized aluminum. For marking standard stainless steel and other metals, we recommend the MONOR fiber laser, which is better suited for this task.

What does "cold" marking mean?

Thanks to the short 355 nm wavelength, energy is transferred to the material mostly through a photochemical rather than a thermal process. The result is a gentler effect on the surface compared to longer wavelengths, without burnt edges or coarser thermal deformation.

Is a cooling unit included?

Yes, the MONOR UV Laser 15 W uses an industrial water chiller, which is included in the delivery.

What software does the machine support?

The machine is supplied as standard with EZCad software for creating and editing marking tasks.

Is a rotary attachment included?

No, the rotary attachment for marking cylindrical objects is available as an optional accessory.

Is training included?

Yes. Video guides are available, and if needed, individual training can be arranged online, at our premises during pickup, or on site.
