Galvo scanning head
The metal galvo head guides the laser beam across the surface and ensures fast, precise marking without moving the material. The all-metal, robust mount without flimsy plastic parts handles long-term operation and higher loads.

Red positioning laser
Before marking starts, the red laser beam precisely shows the position and size of the upcoming mark on the material – you know exactly where and how large the text or design will be placed.

Emergency stop and source control
An emergency button and separate switches for the source and laser for safe machine operation.

Manual height adjustment (Z-axis)
You adjust the head height manually using a mechanism with a precise scale – quickly, reliably and without electronics that could drift out of calibration. Experienced operators can therefore focus very precisely and repeatably, with minimal risk of setting deviation.

USB, foot pedal and rotary attachment connection
The rear panel offers a USB connection to a PC and connectors for a foot pedal and an optional rotary attachment. Electronic support for the rotary attachment is built into the machine from the start – when purchasing it later, no additional controller or motor driver is needed.

Permanent marking without consumables
The fiber laser burns a permanent mark into the metal surface without the need for inks or other consumables.

Wider pulse width adjustment (MOPA)
Thanks to MOPA technology, pulse parameters can be adjusted more finely than with a classic Q-switch fiber laser. This allows the process to be better adapted to the specific material – from fine colour marking of stainless steel and anodized aluminium to deeper engraving, with greater control over the resulting contrast and hue. The laser does not add any colour or pigment – the resulting hue is created by appropriately setting the laser processing of the material's surface.

What's the difference between marking and engraving?
The MONOR Fiber laser 60 W MOPA can work on metal in several ways – fast surface marking, deeper engraving and colour marking on suitable materials, depending on the power, frequency and pulse settings.
Marking (surface)
Fast creation of a contrasting, permanent mark on the material's surface – suitable for codes, text, logos and colour marking on stainless steel and anodized aluminium.
Engraving (deep)
During engraving, the laser removes material to a depth through repeated passes of the beam – thanks to the 60 W power and MOPA technology, the process can be finely tuned to the material, with a good balance between speed and marking depth.

What does MOPA mean?
MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) is a type of fiber laser technology that allows finer and more flexible pulse width adjustment than a classic Q-switch fiber laser. This makes it possible to better adapt the process to a specific material – including colour marking on suitable surfaces.
What is the difference between a classic Fiber laser and MOPA?
A classic Q-switch fiber laser has more fixed pulse parameters, while MOPA allows wider adjustment and better control over the marking result. This is most noticeable in colour marking, fine marking of sensitive materials, and adapting the process to different surfaces.
Can this laser mark in colour?
Yes. Thanks to MOPA technology, the laser can create colour hues on suitable materials. The laser does not add any colour or pigment – the resulting hue is created by appropriately setting the laser processing of the material's surface (power, frequency, speed and pulse).
On which materials is colour marking suitable?
According to the available sources, colour marking is confirmed on stainless steel and anodized aluminium. We recommend verifying the suitability of other materials in advance.
What is the difference between the 50 W Fiber and the 60 W MOPA?
The MONOR Fiber laser 50 W is a classic, powerful fiber laser suitable for fast marking and deeper engraving. The MONOR Fiber laser 60 W MOPA additionally features MOPA technology with wider pulse width adjustment, bringing greater control over the marking result and the option of colour marking on stainless steel and anodized aluminium.
When does the 80 W MOPA 2.5D make sense?
The 80 W MOPA 2.5D is designed for more demanding applications with deep 3D engraving – for example relief engraving, die and mould production, or artistic engraving with variable cutting depth in a single pass.
Is it compatible with LightBurn?
Yes. The machine is compatible with LightBurn software (as well as CorelDraw, Illustrator and AutoCAD) – it comes standard with EZCad, but you can also prepare your work in LightBurn.
Can a rotary attachment be used?
Yes, a rotary attachment for marking cylindrical objects is available as an optional accessory. The machine has a dedicated connector prepared for it.
Is it suitable for deep engraving?
Yes. In addition to colour and fine marking, the MONOR Fiber laser 60 W MOPA also handles deep engraving of metals, depending on the set power and number of passes.
