Why choose the MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W?

Precise metal marking in an enclosed, safe construction

1064 nm Fiber Source

A 50 W fiber laser source suitable for permanent marking and faster, deeper engraving of metals and selected plastics.

Precise Galvo Head

The scanning head ensures fast and precise beam guidance across the entire working area.

Working area 150 × 150 mm

A space suitable for marking smaller and medium-sized parts and series.

Red Position Preview

The red positioning laser shows the exact marking location before the job even starts.

Control via EZCad

Prepare and run jobs in the EZCad software, connected to a PC via USB.

Enclosed working chamber

The covered construction separates the working zone from the operator and surroundings – suitable for companies that prefer an enclosed workstation and a more professional, industrial look of the machine.

Who is the MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W designed for

The covered version is best suited for manufacturing and engineering companies that prefer a separated, enclosed working zone – where permanent, legible marking of metal parts, tools, components or products is needed, and a tidier, more professional appearance of the workplace also matters.

  • marking serial numbers, dates, and QR/EAN codes on metal parts,
  • engraving logos, text, and identification data on metal materials,
  • labeling tools, components, and metal products in production and serial runs,
  • with the optional rotary attachment, also marking cylindrical and round objects.

Choosing the Power

How to Choose the Right Fiber Laser Power?

The comparison relates to power across the MONOR Fiber range. This page describes specifically the covered (enclosed) 50 W version – the covered construction is a choice independent of the selected power, not a separate power tier. We do not currently offer a covered version above 50 W, so the third column compares with the classic open 100 W version.

30 W covered

  • A more versatile balance of marking and power
  • Same covered construction and 150 × 150 mm working area
  • Suitable where a lower power is enough while keeping the enclosed chamber
Current Model

50 W covered

  • Higher speed and greater productivity than 30 W
  • Deeper engraving, same enclosed working chamber
  • Better suited to demanding or frequent industrial use

100 W classic (open)

  • Significantly higher power and marking speed (up to 8,000 mm/s)
  • Classic open version – without an enclosed working chamber, a different (smaller and lighter) machine construction
  • Suitable if maximum power is the priority and an enclosed chamber isn't required

Practical Solutions for Precise Marking

MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W – open lid and view of the enclosed working chamber

Enclosed working chamber

Opening the cover gives access to the working chamber with the galvo head; during operation the space is enclosed by the cover – separating the working zone from the surroundings and the operator.

Galvo scanning head

Galvo Scanning Head

The all-metal galvo head guides the laser beam across the surface, ensuring fast and precise marking without moving the material. The robust, all-metal mount — free of flimsy plastic parts — handles long-term operation and higher workloads.

MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W – front control panel with emergency stop

Control panel and emergency stop

A front panel with an emergency stop button and separate controls for the power source and laser, for safe operation of the machine.

Optional rotary attachment for the MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W

Optional rotary attachment

A rotary attachment for marking cylindrical and round objects can be purchased for the machine as an optional accessory.

Permanent marking without consumables

Permanent Marking Without Consumables

The fiber laser burns a permanent mark into the metal surface without the need for paints or other consumables.

Video Demonstrations

Fiber laser MONOR in practice

The videos below show the marking principle of the MONOR fiber laser (filmed on the 30 W model, general demonstration). The marking principle is the same across all power variants and for both the covered and classic open version, however the videos were not filmed directly on the covered 50 W model.

How It Works

What's the Difference Between Marking and Engraving?

The MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W can work on metal in two ways – fast surface marking as well as deeper, more effective engraving, depending on the power setting and number of passes.

Marking (Surface)

Quickly creates a high-contrast, permanent mark on the material's surface – suitable for codes, text, and logos.

Engraving (Deep)

When engraving, the laser removes material in depth through repeated passes of the beam – thanks to the higher 50 W power this happens faster and more effectively than at 20 W, depending on the set power and number of passes – suitable where the mark needs to be tactile.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Customers Ask Us Before Buying

What is the difference between the covered and the classic (open) 50 W version?

The covered version has an enclosed working chamber that separates the working zone from the operator and surroundings – suitable for companies that prefer an enclosed workstation and a more professional, industrial appearance of the machine. This specific covered version has a working area of 150 × 150 mm; if you needed the classic open version with a 200 × 200 mm working area, we would be happy to help you choose the right model.

Which companies is the covered version best suited for?

Mainly for manufacturing and engineering companies that prefer an enclosed, separated working zone and want the operator to be clearly separated from the marking area.

What materials can I mark with a fiber laser?

Primarily metals – stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum. The fiber laser is also suitable for marking selected plastics; we recommend verifying the specific material in advance.

Can the machine also cut material, or only mark and engrave?

The MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W is designed for surface marking and engraving, not for cutting through material.

What's the difference between a Fiber and a CO2 laser?

A fiber laser (1064 nm) is designed for marking and engraving metals. A CO2 laser, on the other hand, is for cutting and engraving non-metal materials such as wood, acrylic, or leather. These are different technologies for different materials.

What software does the machine support?

The machine is supplied as standard with EZCad software, and is also compatible with CorelDraw and AutoCAD.

Is the rotary attachment included?

No, a rotary attachment for marking cylindrical objects is available as an optional accessory.

Is training included?

Yes. Video guides are available, and if needed, individual training online, in person at pickup, or on-site.

Do I need an external cooling unit for the machine?

No, the MONOR Covered Fiber Laser 50 W uses air cooling, so there is no need to purchase an external chiller.

How does shipping work?

We deliver throughout Slovakia and Czechia, and to other EU countries upon request. We'll agree on the exact terms when you order.

What's the warranty on the machine?

We provide a standard 2-year warranty on the machine and help resolve technical questions even after handover.
